Living in Woodinville

Woodinville is one of the most sought-after towns in the Seattle Eastside. For those looking for a home with ample yard space, acreage, or equestrian property, yet want to be close to town; the location really can't be beat. Woodinville is 20 minutes away from Downtown Bellevue, 30 minutes from Downtown Seattle, and calls Kirkland, Redmond, and Bothell its neighbors.

The town of Woodinville itself has a little bit of everything; with a variety of restaurants, lots of shopping options, and even a movie theater. Woodinville is well known for its copious amounts of fine wineries, with Chateau St. Michelle and Columbia Winery being some of its earliest residents. Boutique wineries and breweries have opened all around Woodinville, and are complemented by the explosion of unique and gourmet restaurants. In the summer, people literally flock to the Chateau St. Michelle to attend their series of concerts. Where else can you enjoy a picnic on the lawn with amazing wines, gaze at the colorful hot-air balloons go by in the lazy afternoons, and watch your favorite artists perform in the amphitheater? Not to be outdone, the newly-opened Teatro Zinzanni offers a one-of-a-kind theatrical dinner experiences.

The Willows Lodge is the premier hotel in Woodinville, along with the Willows Spa for an ultimate treat in relaxation. The hotel also houses the world-famous Herb Farm restaurant where you can spend 5 hours enjoying a multi-course gourmet dinner with wine pairings. Looking for a meal that doesn't take all evening? There are many other options, from gourmet restaurants such as the Barking Frog and Tandem restaurants, to mid-range restaurants such as Italianissimo and Big Fish Grill, and to many family restaurants including the local favorites: Vivi Pizzeria, Purple, Commons, and Pizza Coop to name a few.

Molbaks is an icon to the people of the Pacific Northwest. Besides being a beautiful nursery, it also houses one of the largest gift shops and serves up delicious lunches, snacks, and drinks in the Molbaks Cafe, complete with an indoor garden, water features, and a greenhouse roof. Locals regularly gather there to meet with friends, or take in educational seminars; and at Christmas time admire the amazing poinsettia displays and attend plays held on site.

Looking for outdoor activities? How about catching a soccer game at the Woodinville Fields? Or ride your bike to Downtown Redmond along the Slough, or just go all the way to Downtown Seattle? And if skiing is your thing, you have two ski areas to choose from, Snoqualmie Pass and Stevens Pass, all within 1.5 hours drive.
